Forgetful sisters Siba and Saba are always losing something. Seven sweaters, silver sandals, satin sashes – you name it, they lose it. when the two sisters fall asleep, tucked beneath soft sheets, they even dram about the things they have lost that day. One night, they dream of a silver shilling and a school uniform and, when they awake from their slumber, something strange begins to happen…
This is a gorgeously illustrated story book for younger children – vibrant, colourful and playful. The illustrations beautifully evoke the landscape of the African plains and the hustle and bustle of Uganda. The text itself has a lullaby-like pace and its almost poetic rhythm is wonderful to read aloud. A heart-warming, gently uplifting story to be read again and again.
